People might think caravanning is for geeks or weirdoes but it’s not. It’s for people cool like me! I love going on caravan holidays, it’s so much fun. More comfortable than camping but with the same nature ethos. I went on caravan holidays with my mum and dad as a child so I guess I’m more familiar with it than some of my friends, who used to call me a gypsy!

But they are wrong, they’re completely wrong. It can be such a fun holiday to have with your mates – choose your designated drivers, get your bags packed, you can take book and CDs along and just keep them in the caravan, it’s great! And it gives you such a homely feeling – some of the best nights of my life have been after a long, heady journey seeing country side and sites that just remind you how beautiful England really is. And then you get to the caravan park, find your spot, meet some new people maybe, see what’s happening on site, have dinner and wine by candle light with your friends. In the summer it’s great cos we take a little fold-up table outside with some beers and nice food and hang out under the stars. See! If that makes me a gypsy, I really don’t mind being a gypsy!
