Funny fact… a lot of people love going on camping but only a few people can create fire from scratch. This is because people are relying too much on having lighter fluids with them to start the fire. Keep in mind that while there is nothing wrong with using lighter fluids, it is also a fact that lighter fluids are chemicals that can add up to the carbon footprint, which is something that we already have a lot of. Matches are a lot better than lighters since they are more natural. Bring some old newspaper, finding some twigs and logs of varying thicknesses should be the next ones in your list when creating fire. If in case you forgot to bring newspapers and matches from your house, you can always go to the camp store and you may even probably see something that you might need so make it a habit of going to the camp store as well. Remember that bringing firewood from home is not advised due to some campsite rules. Begin by crumpling up several pieces of newspaper and stacking them in the middle of your fire ring. Building up fire is mostly important to do early when you arrive, especially if the purpose is to cook meals.

It was in the book of Ricky Riordan’s Percy Jackson when I first encountered the word ADHD. Percy, the main character and a demigod has it; there are no ADHD schools mentioned in the book though. With further research ADHD can be categorized as one of the troubled teen programs. ADHD is not really common but then again the treatment has to be special. I also found out some residential treatment camps all over the country. Many of such are found in Utah, Oregon and North Carolina. I guess I’m lucky not to have this kind of disorder, neither any one in my family or even you for instance. Teen problems are one of the hardest to deal with I guess.

Now there’s spring break and the authorities have warned some teen agers not to cross the border to Mexico. That’s never old news and many have suffered from doing the consequences. Guys, if you feel like having fun think safety first. There are a lot of good places to travel, use the internet to find great and affordable travel packages. Most of them are in group packages so you can still hang out with your friends. You can have fun and be safe at the same time. Life’s too precious to waste.
