Walking in the Wild

Another type of outdoor recreation that you can actually do while camping is hiking… although for beginners, it should be well noted that hiking alone, especially if it is in the wild, is not advisable because you could find yourself in a heap of trouble and there’s just no one in sight to help you. It is also important to let people at home know exactly where you are hiking and how long you are supposed to do it so in case of bad situations, the people at home can do something about it. Nowadays though, it is easier to get help when you’ve gone missing in the woods because of communication devices. Bring your mobile phone with you and make sure you also have a spare battery for safety purposes. Try not to be too ambitious as well and choose the tracks that are easier if you are doing it for the first time.

Of course, for obvious reasons, Hawaii is certainly a place to go to, but sky diving in Hawaii is really different because what makes it more special is the opportunity to see the beauty of the whole island, while freefalling with 14,000 feet. They also have water training facility so in case you miss the island and land on water, you can easily figure out what to do next. Plus, if you want your pictures taken while free falling, they can also provide that and they can post it in their web site for free.

Going Extreme on Water

Another form of recreation activity that you can do within water is surfing, and there shouldn’t be any place better than Tamarindo Bay in Costa Rica, just a little bit south of the US. In is exactly located in Central America, which is of course, well known for its killer beaches. Tamarindo is a very long beach, with tremendous waves near the mouth of the estuary. The waves are extra strong when the waters start to fall, which is the best time to surf for all the pro and non-pro surfers.

There are two main breaks for the pros, which are the Pico Pequeño, which is a rocky point near the Hotel Tamarindo Diria, and the El Estero, which is an excellent river mouth break. For beginners, all other break waters are perfect if you are just trying to learn how to get your balance on the surfboards. Truly, it is a majestic place and something for everyone to enjoy.
